To celebrate the release of my new book “The Mystical Collection: Poems on Love, Freedom and Awakening” I am sharing one poem a day from the collection during the week of Oct 17th.

Devil in Disguise
When I looked in your eyes
How did I not recognize your lies?
A Devil in disguise,
God just laughs and says I told you so.
You still come and haunt my dreams
Knowing your illusions, all I do is weep.
Won’t you just give me a moment of peace?
God just laughs and says that’d be too easy.
And still if you called,
Your temptations would have me drawn.
When in your arms, you placed a dagger in my heart.
God just laughs, teaching me to love through pain.
