Never meant for casual fixes,
on a search for intimate devotion.
While hearts can break in an instant,
love is worth the full spectrum of emotion.
Only beyond the darkest night
can the light of God shine through.
Two can make it in this world,
coming together proves this to be true.
Let’s meet underneath the sunset
to get lost in the forever of endings.
We’ll plant seeds of beginnings
to find hope in a place of no pretending.
As quick as it comes, too soon we’ll die.
Leaving behind lost memories in time.
Take my hand, share what’s inside.
Only love will prove we were ever alive.
“Man has always been alone, but modern man is feeling it more for a certain reason — because modern man for the first time has time enough to think about his own self. In the past, the struggle for bread and butter was so much that it kept people occupied from the early morning to the late night, and then too they were not able to feed themselves and their children enough.
And that’s exactly the case in the East even today. Modern man in an Indian village is not feeling lonely. He has no time to feel anything at all! He feels hungry, not lonely; he needs a shelter, a house. These things — feelings of loneliness — he cannot afford. These feelings start surfacing only when a society becomes a little affluent. When people are well-fed, well-clothed, well-sheltered, well-employed — when the ordinary necessities of life are fulfilled, then the real problems of life arise. Then one suddenly becomes aware that ‘I am lonely, even in the crowd I am lonely.’”

thank you for Osho's reference, but it's wrong (said the optimist). wisdom is not dependent on poverty or affluence. poor communities have their stories, rituals and festivities too and some of its children will become artists, as in modern-day urban affluent places. the less aware of our roots and the further we let ourselves become removed from nature, the lonelier we'll feel. merry new year :-))
