When wounds turn to scars
you and memories grow apart,
another chance to start anew.
There’s a devil on your shoulder
you might ignore until you’re older,
it points a mirror back at you.
So keep on digging dirt
even love won’t stop the hurt,
you’ll be buried by the truth.
Gabriel’s trumpets signal arrival
it’s the end of your survival,
final judgement plays its tune.
If you say you lived it well
you’re left with a story to tell,
written chapters from your heart.
But if you ran from yourself
walk through the gates of hell,
until you remember who you are.
Do not run from the darkness.
What is there to gain by avoiding your deepest fears?
Do you not crave to slay the dragon, the beast that has lingered in the shadows since the dawn of remembrance?
When you run from the darkness, you run from the true nature of yourself.
You are the darkness as much as you are the flame that shines light upon it.
Often, we just forget our alchemical abilities.
Never let the flame in your heart go out.
Allow yourself to enter a period of new beginnings.
Look back and acknowledge you’ve done all you can.
The final lesson of this chapter is to let go of things that aren’t asking to be held on to.
What’s meant to be will be.
Never force it.
Never apologize for your authenticity.
It’s never too late for you to start again and take accountability for the new that’s now in front of you.
Remember who you are.
