Living far from a prophet,
knowing it’s you who sees through me.
No escaping dark shadows.
Repressed shame always mine to free.
Just a man learning to love,
still far from accepting myself.
Here you find me on my knees.
Our games are hard to talk about.
Without your validation,
blinded by infinite unknown.
Tuning into the heart’s call.
Let go of fear to find my home.
Getting out of my own way,
learning truth through experience.
Embracing an open heart.
Despite pain, you’re still here with us.
Whether life is to be endured or embraced, my feet keep moving forward.
I often wish I could blindly fit into the societal conditioning. A part of me craves the false sense of security so many must have when living in ignorance. But the cost of this comes at the cheap price of selling your soul.
There is not always going to be a correct answer on how to proceed forward. Being conscious is recognizing we only have a short human experience, so why don’t we make the most of it?
Pain and all, I choose to open my heart.
Blessed be.
