I have recently made my poetry collection, The Final Judgement, available for download as a free E-book.
In a world where choices shape our destinies, The Final Judgement invites you on an introspective journey through the realms of personal reckoning and spiritual awakening. This evocative poetry collection explores the delicate balance between accountability and grace, urging readers to confront their inner truths and remember the essence of who they are.
Each poem serves as a mirror reflecting the struggles and triumphs of the human spirit, urging you to embrace your past while envisioning a hopeful future. With lyrical depth and poignant imagery, these verses resonate with the timeless quest for identity and redemption.
Step into a space where vulnerability meets strength, and discover that your own judgement day is not an end, but a powerful beginning.
Below are a few poems from the collection.
A Poor Man’s Plea
If hope is a poor man’s plea
what good are my prayers for change?
Bombs drop on another brother.
Love disposed in a world fueled by rage.
Am I crazy for dreams of peace?
Innocence knows it’s possible today.
Internal wars are externally waged
while lives are played like it’s Judgement Day.
Choosing to close my eyes
fearing consequence for what I’ll know.
Yet, chasing blind relief
comes with the price of selling your soul.
Free my sins of ignorance.
Our world burns hot, yet hearts remain cold.
Give us the courage to fight,
let go of hatred we learned to hold.
Nobody’s coming to save us,
blood paints the crooked streets red.
What good is left in the world
when our hero’s feel better off dead?
Light shines in the stars above
promising love can still be spread.
This hope may be a poor man’s plea
but it’s all we can hold till our final breath.
Awaken
Are you brave enough to see a man
beyond the conditions of his circumstances?
Easily defined by programmable actions.
What then is left of a soul’s true essence?
Stories of history told through the scars.
Repeat it enough and it defines who we are.
Never needing leaps into new beginnings
if pains of the past can justify our sinning.
Are we sabotaged or civilized?
Just as we’ve come, too soon we’ll die.
Why exit the cage and learn to fly
if forever never brings enough time?
You’ll never know who that man was
but observing lets you see what he’s become.
Only callings of past temptations
coercively compel his heart to damnation.
Freedom’s price is lifetime devotion.
A commitment to truth despite self-neurosis.
In kingdoms of the blind, only one eye leads.
The world will be yours at the level chosen to see.
Remember Who You Are
When wounds turn to scars
you and memories grow apart,
another chance to start anew.
There’s a devil on your shoulder
you might ignore until you’re older,
it points a mirror back at you.
So keep on digging dirt
even love won’t stop the hurt,
you’ll soon be buried by the truth.
Gabriel’s trumpets on arrival
signal an end of survival,
final judgement plays its tune.
If you went and lived it well
you’re left with stories to tell,
written chapters from your heart.
But if you ran from yourself
you’ll walk through gates of hell,
until you remember who you are.
