At some point in our lives, we are all given a call to adventure, a direct opportunity to leave the mundane behind and step directly into The Great Mystery. While many choose to keep comfortable in the ordinary, a few courageous souls embark on the path to uncover the truth of who they are. This is the path of spiritual awakening. The fact that you are here reading this is a sign that the call to adventure sits in front of you, if it has not already been embarked upon.
Once we leave the ordinary world behind, our life becomes a continuous cycle of The Hero’s Journey. Bit by bit, we go through trials and tribulations to peel back the different layers of illusion that have clouded our perception of reality. We begin to recognize ourselves as an extension of infinite creation. We remember we have the world at our fingertips, despite the fact that we were born into a system that encourages despondency and victim consciousness. Through this Hero’s Journey, the universal stories and archetypes of a hero’s great adventure, you will remember yourself as the empowered and self-sufficient individual you have always been, while recognizing your interconnected nature to all others and role you play within the cosmic game.
While many can identify with embarking on The Hero’s Journey in regards to spirituality, there is a lack of structure regarding how to directly navigate its path. People often attempt to initiate their spiritual development without organization, and this can lead to unnecessary prolonged periods of stagnation. This is where Tarot can come into play as your lifemap.
There is much uncertainty regarding Tarot’s origins. Considering the profound insight and infinite depth that a deck can provide, the mysteriousness of its history seems fitting. What Tarot provides is a representation of the soul’s journey. Each card is intrinsically connected, as the 22 themes outlined in the Major Arcana play into one another, creating a lifemap that closely mirrors the same path of The Hero’s Journey.
