Who can you be?
This is the foundational question one must continually ask themselves as they embark on the journey of growth.
Who you can be is limitless. There will never be an “end” just as there was never truly a beginning. Every experience you’ve gone through, all the pains and struggles, have been necessary to get you exactly where you are today. Give thanks to your past hardships as much as you do for your peak experiences.
While growth is a limitless well of potential, the actualization process needs to be kept in line with objective goals to tap into. Having a vision is the first step in manifesting your dreams into realistic possibilities.
When you let your imagination play, what do you see? Close your eyes and envision the most actualized version of self standing in front of you. Notice everything about them: their appearance, daily habits and practices, financial situation, job and career, family, friendships and community. What is the energy this version of you presents?
Whatever you may see, know it is possible to create. The only thing stopping you is your own self-limiting beliefs.
Hell is dying and meeting the person you could have been.
Are you tired of living life feeling disconnected from your true purpose and meaning?
What if you decided to have the courage to let go of what no longer serves you, while simultaneously developing practices that will bring to life your highest callings?
Self-actualization is not meant to be the peak, it’s supposed to be the foundation.
Even if results take time, honing in on the following four keys to optimization will allow you to take the next steps towards becoming the person you were always meant to be.
Evolve
Step number one in optimization is accepting of process itself, choosing to evolve.
Why is it that people don’t achieve goals or chase their dreams? It’s because they approach them from the same mindset and programming that got them stuck to begin with.
Your mindset will be the factor that makes or breaks whether your dreams become a reality. Are you really willing to make the sacrifices necessary to grow? Do you realize this will mean uprooting self-limiting beliefs, understanding your conditioning and previous traumas, and be willing to let who you think you are die for the purpose of uncovering the truth?
It’s okay to fear change, but you must have the courage to dive headfirst into it.
Pray to see the truth. Ask for signs of assurance in the form of synchronicities. This is a great first step.
But when you receive these, ask for the courage to act upon them. This is where most people fall short.
Evolving will look different each day, but it will be found through choosing to be 1% better than you were the day before.
Planting the seeds of your evolution, where faith is backed by daily action, is found through practicing the next three keys to optimization.
In an optimization plan, mindset will become the foundation for the work we do together. If you learn how to show up for yourself first, the rest of the work will come naturally. Let’s rewrite the internal narrative into one that optimizes who YOU are meant to be.
Solitude
In order to become the actualized version, you must spend time with yourself.
As simple as this sounds, the vast majority of people spend their “alone time” immersed in artificial realities. In the smartphone and Netflix era, we spend most of our time consuming as a method to bypass the existential realities living within us.
When you have just a moment to spare with yourself, how do you spend that time? Even just choosing to sit with your breath instead of mindlessly doomscrolling, something we are ALL guilty of on occasion, can do wonders for cultivating inner solitude.
With solitude as a pillar of optimization, how does one practice it?
Simple. Just start doing REAL with your greatest companion: YOU.
In order to write a new story, find activities that consciously serve as a mirror for reflection. Taking a walk in nature, writing a poem, reading a new book, or simply meditating all cultivate space for you to feel deeply inside yourself.
In solitude, you will find home by remembering the desires of your own heart. Let’s explore what lives within together.
Physical Wellness
Solitude and physicality represent the Yin & Yang of wellness. Your internal world mirrors the external and vice versa. They are interchangeable. Taking charge of your physical wellness is an integral step into actualization that is often overlooked in spiritual communities.
Your physical health will always reflect how you show up for yourself in other areas of life. If your body is failing you, this a telltale sign you may be unconsciously not reaching your potential for yourself in other important aspects of life.
In any physical wellness plan, there are three key areas that must be addressed:
1. Exercise
2. Diet
3. Rest
Generalizations such as the list above is a broad brush, as each area is vastly intricate and requires conscious effort to bring forth change.
Just setting an intention to be “generally active” or “eat healthier” is not enough. Practical and trackable goals need to be set, with a plan in place to help you meet those goals. In working together, we will craft a unique wellness approach to ensure your goals become reality. Book an initial call today.
Meaning
What is your why?
The above question may be the most important self-reflection question for ANY goal or objective.
If you don’t understand why you want to grow, what are the odds you’re going to make it a reality? If you answered low, you’re overselling yourself. The odds are zero. You will not blindly stumble into your dreams if you don’t look into what makes them your dreams to begin with.
Your “why” is what’s most important to you. For me, to demonstrate my own why, I always come back to love. I am embarking on a path of the heart. I choose to be loving through truth, compassion, and my own optimization process.
By choosing to evolve, I am making a choice of love.
By choosing to return home to solitude, I am making a choice of love.
By choosing to prioritize my wellness, I am making a choice of love.
My own optimization practice allows me to show up authentically for others. If I am failing myself by not meeting my own highest ideals, I am also failing others through unactualized potential.
This is my “why.” Now it’s time to remember what’s most important to you.
The meaning of this journey is only going to be found through the exploration of self, harnessing faith backed by conscious action.
